For many first time buyers, a twin home is the perfect place to start. You live there for 5 or 6 years, do some updating, amass equity, and it provides the launchpad to a single-family residence.

This is how the story goes for Deirdre and Patrick, who reached out to Pip Haxby-Thompson in early October 2025 to list 153 New Jersey Ave in Collingswood NJ that they purchased a few years back for $185,000.

Deirdre and Patrick received 9 offers that first weekend, all at—or over—asking price, and they accepted an outstanding offer at $455,000, with a speedy 4 week close. What a result!

The 3 Step Strategy That Added $56,000

Selling in the winter market takes more than just putting a home online. For this Collingswood listing, the result came from high-end marketing and a strategic launch designed to drive real interest.

Part 1: Prep the Home Like a Premium Listing

An empty house can skew opinions of the space, so Pip worked with McGinley Interiors to create warmth with furniture and décor. Defects (such as broken drawers, faulty lightbulbs) can look like dollar signs to potential buyers, so Pip and Jess project-managed those minor repairs so the home presented move-in ready.

Part 2: Build Momentum Before Going Live

A 7-day Coming Soon campaign wasn't an accident; it gave the JFKLiving marketing department time to tease out the video tour (30k+ views) and gorgeous photography. The campaign included neighborhood mailers + door-hangers, Zillow Showcase Listing, and an eBlast to 2,000 buyers househunting in the 08108 area.

The promotion + SEO efforts ensured 30k people saw this home—between our website, social media, and the Zillow Showcase Listing—before the home was even live. Once it officially hit the market, buyer interest exploded. 80+ people came to see the property in person, and 9 (at, or over, ask) offers came in that first weekend.
